welcome to the you parade
The You Parade: Crowd Creator generates an AR crowd of enthusiastic, celebratory versions of you. Participate in a series of joyful moments, where can throw your hands in the air, fist pump, applaud yourself, and jump up and down. Each moment projects these crowd choreographies into a massive, surrounding float — turning DTLA into a cavernous, digital throng of celebratory motion.
The You Parade: Crowd Creator was made in collaboration with Elaine Purnama.
In this collaboration, I led the design and development of the prototype in Lens Studio, while Elaine directed the visual language. We collaborated on the UI.
ParadeTown is led by ArtCenter College of Design / Media Design Practices Faculty Jenny Rodenhouse & Ben Hooker. The exhibition is on view at ArtCenter DTLA through January, 2022.
